Description
The IRT subway in New York, better known as the cattle car was an eventful part of our day as we would go to work in the morning. The cars were packed full and people would help those trying to enter the car, with a big push. This was a New York entertainment daily. I will never forget the time when I was jammed in between a mass of people and face to face with a nicely dressed business man. Well as the car tumbled and shook so did my head and my lips ended up on his shirt and left a big red spot of lipstick. I'll bet he had a difficult time explaining that to his wife that night. Our memories have given us so many laughs over our lifetime. Hope you enjoy this print about the IRT subway cattle cars in the 1950s.
