My Poor Orphans! My Poor Orphan Brigade! They Have Cut it to Pieces" said John C. Breckenridge on January 2, 1863. The Civil War was in full Bloom as this Brigade found itself involved with many wars in several states (Shiloh, Murfreesboro, Vicksburg and Atlanta as they became known as one of the best fighting groups in the entire Civil War from beginning to end.
