Description
In Brooklyn in the 1940s, some old men dreamed of belonging to the Mafia. You could see them on a regular basis, sitting at a card table on the street in front of an old brownstone house with their homemade wine, a newspaper while relating the news of the day. Just like their predecessors in Sicily they constantly presented the aura of tough and mean as though they were performing on an operatic stage. Full of Melodrama, these Mafia wannabes, were inclined to be gallant yet displayed that they were violent and could do harm. While most of these neighborhood men were not "Godfathers" but just loving grandfathers once they entered the door of their cold-water flat. Violence is what they portrayed but kindness is what they showed to their family.
