Artist's Description

During the depression years money was scarce and a Christmas Tree was a luxury but my Dad took me out after 6 PM on December 24th to find a tree for our family.
All the Christmas Tree Vendors had abandoned their stands by then leaving behind all of the unsold trees where we selected one and returned home to where my Mother would bring out homemade ornaments along with some home baked cookies and we would all have a wonderful night decorating the tree with no knowledge of the hardship my parents faced.
