Life in the South in the early 40\'s was difficult and families
endured extreme hardships including the lack of food and other
necessities which we take for granted today. However families
were close and helped each other as they struggled to survive
when it seemed almost hopeless. The bonds created by their
love for each other and determination to make things work
produced families with a strong bond and connectivity for the
rest of their lives.
