Some people consider the Muscovy Duck a nuisance but as a photographer, I consider it to be beautiful! Just look at the stark black and white color with a caruncle, a dynamic addition of bright red color which calls attention to its beauty. Then I look at the feet and see the pattern of the tough skin which protects its feet. The claws look as though they must have had a pedicure from a talented pedicurist. I watched him shower himself in the water of Lake Harris before he walked out and dried himself in the warmth of the sun before posing for my camera.
